Actually 55-666. 20 Mar 58 first flight as YB-58A. Used as test aircraft by Convair. 8 Nov 58: Flew 32 minutes at sustained Mach 2 with YJ79-GE-5 engines. 28 Apr 59: TOS USAF, but retained by Convair as a test and evaluation aircraft. 1 May 59: Converted to YRB-58A. 11/62: 6510th Operational Maintenance Squadron (AFSC), Edwards AFB, CA. 5/64: 3345th Maintenance and Support Group (ATC), Chanute AFB, IL. 5/65: Redesignated GRB-58A. 1967: Museum status; displayed at base air park. 1993: Chanute Air Museum. Marked as 61-2059. 10/15: Chanute Museum closed. 2017: Moved to Castle Air Museum, Castle AFB, CA.
