The occasion is the reopening of the airport on Catalina Island after the runway was rebuilt as a US Marines training exercise. N64784 had in the past been the corporate aircraft of the Wrigley family which once owned the island. Fully restored and again owned by a member of the Wrigley family, N64784 was the first aircraft to land on the repaired runway. The island is now held a trust.
