The Breguet 27 and Br 33 observation types had an unaerodynamic thin tailboom to ensure a good rear view for the observer/gunner. Unlike the Br 27, the Br 33 was not built in series but, although not intended as long-range aircraft, both Br 330 prototypes made flights to Asia.
