The famous Czechoslovak aerobatic pilot Ladislav Bezák in his Zlin 226, the former OK-MUA. In 1971 he defected by flying to West Germany. He loaded his wife and four sons into the two-seat Zlín. They took off in Prague and landed in Nuremberg, where all six were granted political asylum by West Germany. Bezák was the first winner of the FAI World Aerobatic Championships in 1960. He is also famous for performing the Lomcovák aerobatic manoeuvre for the first time.
