Built 1946, to the RAF High Speed Flight and set a new World Speed Record of 615.78 mph 07/09/46 . Allocated 7008M in 1953. On gate guard duties at RAF Innsworth March 1961 to April 1967 before joining the RAF Museum following restoration, in 1971. Loaned to the Military Aviation Museum, at Tangmere, W Sussex in September 1992 and current there at time of upload. This photo was added on 21 December 2022, and has since been viewed 271 times. |
