slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. - Between 1974 and 1976, Syrian Arab Airlines leased a total of seven Boeing 707s, two from British Airways and five from British Midland Airways; all but one were operated in full Syrian colours. The 1960-built G-APFL is the only one which "survived" - it was last noted near Entebbe airport as 5X-CAU, in derelict condition, in 2020.
