This Navion was built in 1947 as NC91478. In Jan-1949 it became N91478. It later went to Canada where it was registered in Feb-1957 as CF-JPC. It crashed 14-Jan-2001 north of Pitt Meadows, BC and was written-off. The aircraft was part of a formation team named the Fraser Blues. When practicing formations other pilots saw the aircraft enter a descent and impact with the ground. The pilot had suffered some form of physiological incapacitation and did not survive the crash. Although it says Ryan on the nose, it is a North American built one. This photo is copyright © Harry Vercruijsse, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
