This Rapide was built in 1945 and TOC by the RAF as HG721. In December 1948 it was placed on the civilain register as G-ALGB. Around December 1954 it was exported to France and registered F-BHCD and used by the Etat Service de L Aviation Legere et Sportive as a parachute jump ship based at Chalon-Champforgeuil. Alas, all good things come to an end and the plane was deregistered in March 1971 and became part of this super museum in June 1989. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
