Built in 1955 and sometime in 1959 end plates were installed for mineral survey work and it departed like that to the USA in mid-1959 (according to Air-Britain). This later photo suggests that it returned to SAL, possibly for restoration to standard wing-tips, prior to sale in Mexico (as XC-CUJ) where it was photographed without the plates. Later, when N9965F, it was wrecked in a landing while hauling fish at Pilot Point/AK on 31 August 1979. This photo was added on 10 March 2022, and has since been viewed 239 times. |
