Boeing Super Hornet FA-18F A44-223. Returning from the Middle East, completing the last deployment of classic Hornets and the Super Hornets where they carried out combat actions against the Islamic state. On the forward fuselage below the 223 are the mission markings. The aircraft also carried the US Navy serial number 167979 on the lower rear fuselage, not visible in the picture.
