The second Auster operated by Southend-based Rochford Hundred Flying Group. The primer on the rear fuselage had been applied following repairs necessitated by a ground-loop on landing at Southend. The aircraft was written-off in a non-fatal crash in the Jura Mountains above Chézery, France on 10th August 1972 while en route from Geneva to Macon.
