Originally built as a B-47E, this a/c sent it's active service being used as a test a/c at both Edwards AFB and Wright-Patterson AFB. It was the first USAF a/c with a fly-by-wire control system. It was retired to the museum in 1969, but is now on display at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History in Albuquerque, NM.
