This Fisbed-D version includes the addition of a radar in the engine inlet cone to enable it to become an all-weather and night intercepter. However, in order to maintain the streamlined appearance the guns had to be removed and so this version relied solely on rockets for armament. This example served previously with the Hungarian AF before being acquired in 1998 by the National Museum of the USAF where it us now on display. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
