Braathens SAFE replaced their -200 fleet with -400s and -500s. LN-BRC was delivered in March 1990 and stayed with the airline until leased to in September 2000. The next and last operator was Smartavia between 2009 and 2012. The airframe was scrapped at Bournemouth. Unlike the -200s, the -500s required external air stairs which added time to the turn around time at Røros.
