slide scan from the NK collection. - Finnair operated nine Convair 440s between 1953 and 1980; six came new from Convair's San Diego factory, one was acquired second-hand from Alitalia, and two were transferred from Karair. OH-LRF was built in 1957 and made a winter visit to Munich-Riem in old Finnair colours. Eventually, the airframe was registered as CP-2256 and lost during an emergency landing in Bolivia in September 1993. This photo was added on 5 August 2021, and has since been viewed 1107 times. |
