This Jumbo was no stranger to FRA as it was originally delivered to Lufthansa as D-ABYK in December 1076. It was converted to -230BM standard and joined Atlas in April 1995. The plane also flew for some time for Polar Air Cargo but was returned in August 2006. Two months later the plane joined Southern Air and was later registered N760SA.
