On display in the Boeing Aviation Hangar room at Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, National Air and Space Museum. Hellcat Bu.No. 41834 was built at Bethpage in Feb. 1944. Assigned to VF-15 aboard USS Hornet (CV-12), it made its way to Hawaii. It was then assigned to VF-3 and VF-83. The Hellcat was converted into a target drone and used to measure radiation for the atomic bomb tests at Bikini Atoll in 1946.
