East West Airlines VH-EWL crashed due to wind shear at Bathurst NSW on May 31, 1974. It was damaged beyond repair and stored in pieces for a number of years at Bankstown. The fuselage was eventually used by the airport fire service and later scrapped. This photo is copyright © Peter T Lea, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
