American registered Cessna 150s were a rare sight in Australia in the 1960s, with Rex Aviation the sole distributor for new Cessnas in Australia. The singles arrived in crates and unregistered. VH-SAX was one of the small batch of current and late model 150s imported in defiance of the monopoly. -SAX became VH-BNB in 1966.
