This was delivered to THY in October 1976 and is pictured on stand at T2. The plane went on to fly with Turkish Airlines, Top Air, Istanbul Airlines and Air Memphis before joining Interair South Africa as ZS-IJS in February 2004. The plane is now registered 3D-ITC but whilst awaiting maintenance at Polokwane (Pietersburg) in July 2007 it was hit by mini tornado and pushed into a 727 and 707. It was then found to have structural problems and is now derelict there (if not already scrapped). This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
