The Ta-154 was a wooden, fast twin-engined German night fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank and produced by Focke-Wulf during late WWII. It was plagued with numerous production problems, including engine suitability and supply issues as well as lamination failures. Rechlin-Lärz was the site for fly-off testing against the He 219A and the new Junkers Ju 388. The Ta-154 performance eventually proved disappointing and it was cancelled to allow all resources to be concentrated on the Me-262. This partial replica is on display at this very interesting museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T. Gardiner, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
