To avoid confusion with the GDR 'MiG-21PFM' designation given to the modified MiG-21PF (izdeliye 76A), the NVA redesignated its original MiG-21PFM of izdeliye 94A as 'MiG-21SPS'. . This tail section is on display in the grounds of the Luftfahrt- und Technik-Museumspark Merseburg. The fuselage is on display in the main hall of this super museum.
