this 747 was originally intended for British Airways as G-BDXL but, instead, went to Malaysia Airlines as 9M-MHI in March 1982. Lease periods followed with Garuda and Air New Zealand before it was converted to a freighter and operated by MASkargo from December 1994 to March 2005. It eventually joined Focus Air in April 2006 and is pictured here over at KLM maintenance wearing a small 'Lufthansa Cargo Charter' sticker under the main titles. The plane went to Air Atlanta Icelandic in June 2010 as TF-AAB but has been stored at Fujairah (FJR) since March 2013. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
