Halifax B.II Series IA of of No 78, based at Breighton, Yorkshire, fitted with large D type tailfins. Crashed on 30 September 1943 returning from a raid on Bochum. Crew lost their way, aircraft stalled as pilot tried to avoid factory chimney and crashed into wooded area near Foxhills Road, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.
