This DC-10 was 104WA was delivered to World Airways in June 1978. It became N1857U with United in May 1986 and I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) it operated the final United DC-10 service in February 2001 before being wfu and ferried to Pinal Air Park for storage. It was penciled in to go to the Netherlands Air Force as T-253 but this didn't happen due to budget cuts and so was subsequently scrapped. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
