At the time of the photo, Ourdel cattle station was known as Mayfield. Then as now it was owned by the Kidd family. The fuselage of VH-DRB has been preserved at the Queensland Air Museum. It suffered an accident at Thargomindah on January 5, 1966 (when registered VH-FDR and fitted with Lycoming engines) and never flew again.
