The Warbler was designed by Lawrence Wackett, a major figure in Australian aviation. It was built at the Government Experimental Aircraft Factory in Sydney, which he headed. The Warbler was powered by a 30hp 1490cc Wizard engine also designed by Wackett. The Warbler came second among the eligible entrants. What happened to it after the event is not known but it was never registered. Photo from: State Library of Queensland This photo was added on 6 April 2019, and has since been viewed 473 times. |
