G-AUIX departed Richmond for the attempted flight to the UK with a crew of two RAAF pilots and a photographer to record the adventure. The flight ended in a crash at Athens on November 26, 1928. The crew survived and the pilots flew back to Australia in 1929 in a Vickers Vellore. This photo was added on 5 March 2019, and has since been viewed 676 times. |
