The older one of only two surviving Balillas. This example in the Caproni Museum is still in its original silk covering, without restoration. Balilla 16552 was donated to Capitano Natale Palli by the Chamber of Commerce in Genova on 1918-08-25. The painting is from artist Amos Nattini and represents Saint George (the one with the dragon), which is a symbol of Genova. Around 200 Balillas were build, but only one kill (an Austrian Oeffag D.III) can be found in the annals for the whole fleet.
