This B-25 was recovered from the Tanami Desert in 1974. It had been abandoned after a forced landing in January 1945. Now at the Darwin Aviation Museum, still without a rear fuselage but partially painted in wartime USAAF markings. The cut-up Indonesian DC-3 and RAAF Dakota A65-104 in the background had been dumped at the museum after they were wrecked at Darwin Airport during Cyclone Tracy in December 1974.
