Built for the RAF as F8630, it was converted by Vickers for the England-Australia Air Race. In the capable hands of Ross & Keith Smith, Shiers and Bennett it departed Hounslow on 12 November 1919, reaching Darwin in 27 days 20 hours. From 1958 G-EAOU resided in a purpose-built shelter at Adelaide Airport until relocated in 2022 to a new building adjacent to the new passenger terminal.
