First registered as G-BDOM in 1976. To N411WA in 1982 with various operators in the USA, the last of which was Mountain High Aviation (from 1994 until 2009). It then became YJ-LGF in the island nation of Vanuatu, before export to New Zealand as ZK-LGF. In 2018 it joined the fleet of Roraima Airways in Guyana as 8R-GRF. Port Angeles is is northwest Washington State, across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Victoria, British Columbia.

The PA-18A Agricultural variants came out of the factory with a fuel tank in place of the rear seat and provisions for a chemical hopper under the belly. Whether this has been replaced with a long-range belly tank in this case could not be determined. Just arrived from Port Angeles (KOLM) to clear Customs, it departed to Port Hardy (CYZT) for the night then next morning was off back home to Alaska.
