The Soviet AF colours were applied in Australia in 2007. As far as I know, there are no records of this aircraft actually having flown as such before the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, aircraft no. 332514 definitely was delivered to the Soviet AF as 64 red, so it is not unlikely that 33516 actually served as 66 red in the 1980s.

After military service, this Albatros initially went to South Africa where it was registered in the experimental block as ZU-BZA in October 1999. In 2002 it came to Australia, initially being based in Perth, and was re-registered VH-LQT on 2 August that year. Early the following year, on 2 January 2003, it was re-registered VH-HOT. This lasted until 12 June 2007 when it was re-registered again as VH-IOT(3). Seen here at Wings Over the Illawarra 2016.
