It seems that most of these An12's that have a second life outside Russia have run into some kind of problems. This one became TN-AFR in 1999 and shortly after that had to make a emergency landing after a inflight fire off the engines and wing in Angola, probably by ground fire. It was damaged beyond repair and sadly killing one crew member.
