Ex US Navy Bu131910. To MASDC for storage in 1970 and sold via Allied Aircraft Sales in 1981 with a group of HU-16s to be converted to civil G-111s. Held in reserve until converted and registered N7025J in 1988, it was sold to a private owner in1989. ITPS (International Test Pilots School) of London, Ontario bought the aircraft in 2017 for seaplane training.

The aircraft was stored at Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) until bought in 1981 with a group of aircraft to be converted to civil G-111s. Held in reserve until converted and registered N7025J in 1988, it was sold to a private owner in1989. ITPS (CANADA) Ltd. (based in London, ON, Canada) have 21 other aircraft registered to them and acquired the big amphibian in 2017 for seaplane training. It's been upgraded with modern flight instruments and other testing equipment.
