'The Hiller 360 medical helicopter flown by Capt Dr Valérie André, during a medical evacuation in Tonkin' - this is the northernmost part of Vietnam. Early Hillers had marginal power and that is probably why the pilot was also a doctor! This was one of the first two helicopters in French Indochina, flown initially as F-OAHA and F-OAHB (c/n 133). They were acquired by the French army, but operated by the air force. The army allocated administrative serials 8.000.009 and 8.000.005, respectively. Photo from: ECPAD
