One of the six Hercules displayed in the Memorial Park at Hurlburt Field is this MC-130E Combat Talon I, the type known by 919th SOW airmen as "Wild Thing". It served in Vietnam suffering combat damage and in the first mission flown using night vision goggles in 1979. One of a few fitted with Skyhook recovery gear. Participating in the failed 1980 attempt to rescue American hostages from the US Embassy in Iran, it also transported captured Panamanian dictator Manuel Noreiga in 1989 during Operation Just Cause and was flown in for preservation in 2010
