Built 1939, served originally with the Portuguese Air Force. Later to CR-AGM, ZS-FZL and registered G-AKUE 12 February 1986. Rebuilt 1988. Substantially damaged when it stalled and crashed in a field when taking off from Bryngwyn Bach Farm, near St.Asaph, Clwyd, Wales on -2 January 1989. Subsequently repaired and still currently registered September 2024, albeit with C.of A. expired 12 June 2019. (This was the second allocation of G-AKUE, it having been reserved 20 February 1948 for Avro 689 Tudor 2, c/n.1437, which was not built and the reservation was cancelled 23 April 1951).
