Building up speed for takeoff, seen here passing Tyee Spit at the mouth of the Campbell River, Vancouver Island. Suffered a sadly fatal crash on 16 August 2013 while departing Hesquiat Lake to return to base at Gold River. In conditions of rain and a very low cloud base, it impacted the top of a tall tree on rising ground and a post-crash fire developed. The pilot and a passenger did not survive, but a search and rescue helicopter recovered the four other passengers who managed to escspe the fuselage.
