This aircraft started as a Convair 340 and was converted to a Convair 580 for Frontier Airlines. Stored for a number of years at Marana, it was finally scrapped in 1997

The aircraft was intended for Laredo Air but NTU (Not Taken Up). Stayed stored until broken up circa 1997. Reg cancelled 9th June 1997

Delivered to United as a CV340-31 in September, 1952. Purchased by Frontier in April, 1963 and converted to 580 in March, 1965. Seen here taxiing for a dawn departure.

Now that is one sharp looking Convair. Sold by Sierra Pacific to Laredo Air in 1.91 but remained stored and broken up a few years later. Began life as a United CV-340 in 1952, to Frontier in 1963 and converted two years later
