The REP Type-K was pressed into service at the start of WWI for aerial reconnaisance. As with many early-war aircraft it was not really suited for its assigned role, in this case primarily because the wing deprived the pilot of a clear downward view and the type was quicly abandoned for aicraft specifically developed for the role.
