An F-84E put on display in central Leeuwarden to promote an airshow held on 27 and 29 May 1954. This was the second Thunderjet delivered to the Netherlands in April 1951, and it flew initially with the previous US serial 01827. The Dutch serial K-2 was assigned but that was probably never carried. Because there was a great demand for instructional airframes, it was already assigned as such in January 1952. And in July 1952 it was struck of charge to be used at a number of promotion expositions named "Paraat", later returning to the Technical School.
