Catron & Fisk already did passenger flights between Bakersfield and Los Angeles with a smaller, trimotor triplane in 1922. The CF-10 first flew on 20 May 1925 according to The Ace magazine which published a photo in June. In that shot the aircraft has protruding ailerons on the lower wings that are no longer present here. Another photo, taken at Burdett Airport, LA, shows a CF-10 marked 'CF-43' in a circle on the fuselage and this may well be the same aircraft. It is worth noting that the US civil aviation register was almost non-existant before 1927. Photo from: San Diego Air & Space Museum
