Clearly developed from the Vickers Victoria, the Vanguard was a twin-engined 22-passenger airliner. First flown in 1923 as the Vickers 62, the sole airframe is apparently seen here as the Type 103 with Rolls-Royce Condor engines. Only from 1928 it was used by Imperial Airways, reconfigured as the Type 170, but it crashed on 16 May 1929 on a test flight after fresh modifications. Is this Brooklands? Photo from: Vickers
