This CL-415, along with C-GQBE/243 out of shot to the left, was at the time of my visit on lease to the State of California and only flew if there is a fire somewhere in the hills. This wasn't the case during my visit to KVNY but it would be called in to action only a few months later to fight the devastating forest and canyon fires around Los Angeles in January 2025.
