This A-26B was completed in 1945 but never taken up by the USAAF due to the end of the war. It was registered as NX67834 and in 1947 set the round-the-world speed record (in 78 hours, 55 minutes, 12 seconds). Somehow, this aircraft had ended up in Iran by 1986. It has been preserved here in USAAF colours. When this photo was taken, the aicraft did not carry its serial.
