Barely a week after this image was taken, on 15 June 2006, OO-TND was substantially damaged in a balked landing at East Midlands (following which it diverted to Birmingham) and was retired from service. This image is scanned from a Fujichrome slide. A couple of months later I bought my first DSLR and my slide-taking days were at an end.

Aircraft was converted to freighter a few months after this picture was taken and delivered to TNT Airways as OO-TND. Eventualy broken up after a landing incident at Birmingham on 15 June 2006

Reg N346US Nov 88 and transferred to US Air Aug 89. To TNT Airways Dec 2004 as OO-TND. Damaged beyond repair in an emergency landing at Birmingham UK 15 Jun 2006. This was after the right main landing gear had been torn off in a botched landing and go around at East Midlands when diverting from Stansted due to weather! The accident report makes interesting reading.
