Moved to a more permanent (and out of the way location) on this day. The aircraft has been with us since the April 2020 and is a casualty of the covid-19 pandemic. Recent rumor had it that there is a party interested in buying the aircraft, but the future of the aircraft still seems to be very fluid.

Actually 5B-DDE. The aircraft was meant to become 2-BDDE while in storage, but the paperwork took too long and the aircraft had to be reverted back to 5B-DDE. To make the reregistering easier (and because such stickers are expensive), the "5" was replaced by a piece of A4 paper with a "2" on it. By now, that piece of paper has been blown off, revealing this hybrid version of the registration. As I write this caption, I realize it's already been a year since the aircraft first touched down at Eelde. I hope it still has a future somewhere.

Delivered to American in December 1992 as N1437B. Withdrawn from use on September 3, 2003. Stored at Mojave (September 4, 2003 - August 12, 2006 and Tulsa (until sometime in 2007). To OceanAir in April 2007 as PR-OAU. To Avianca Brasil in March 2010. Stored as Brasilia November 25, 2015 - June 22, 2016. Stored at Kansas City on June 22, 2016. To Jet Midwest Group in February 2017 as N266JM. Reregistered 2-ITUD in March 2017 and stored at Woensdrecht on March 27, 2017. To Fokker Services in April 2017 as PH-AQH, to Tus Airways in July 2017 as 5B-DDE. Stored at Groningen on April 16, 2020.

Originally the aircraft was re-registered 2-BDDE for its life in storage. However, the paperwork took longer than expected and the aircraft had to be reverted back to its former Cypriot registration 5B-DDE. Since stickers are expensive, a low-tech, low-cost solution was implemented by means of a handwritten piece of paper to cover the "2".

Both 5B-DDA and 5B-DDE flew in on April 16, for maintenance and TLC. If I'm not mistaken, they won't return to service with Tus and a new owner will be sought. For the foreseeable future, they will spend their days at Eelde.

Pictured shortly after arriving for an prolonged maintenance visit. Currently parked on our former runway 01/19 (now taxiway Bravo), together with 5B-DDA. It is expected that they will remain there for a while. Ex. N1437B with American Airlines and PR-OAU with OceanAir and Avianca Brasil. The aircraft later also carried the registrations N266JM, 2-ITUD and PH-AQH (all for only a few months) before becoming 5B-DDE with Tus Airways.
