Arriving from KICT as QUE243, along with sister ship C-GQBG. Both aircraft were passing through Rickenbacker on their way home, having been in California, assisting in control of the devastating Palisades Fire. C-GQBE was damaged in the course of her time there, having been struck by a drone illegally flown over the fire zone.

This CL-415, along with C-GQBG/245 out of shot to the right, were at the time of my visit on lease to the State of California and only flies if there is a fire somewhere in the hills. Fortunately, this wasn't the case during my visit to KVNY, although it meant that this was the only angle available. [Note, this was the plane that struck a drone whilst fighting the devastating forest and canyon fires around Los Angeles in January 2025. It had to be grounded for repairs at exactly the wrong time. The 249g drone remained lodged in the wing leading edge and was only noticed after landing.]
