By 1992 it had an A-723 SLA radar on the port side and other radio-electronic equipment for research of the earth's surface. Re-registered as RA-75598 in 1993. De-converted to a normal Il-18D and registered to IRS Aero in 1997 then to Aerocaribbean as CU-T1546 in 2004. Preserved for a while following withdrawal at Havana before being scrapped in 2012.
